New Vinpearl theme park resort set to open next month
Vietnamese hospitality group and theme park operator Vinpearl has announced that its latest development is all set to open as planned at the start of next month.
Following the debut of Vinpearl Land on Hon Tre Island, off the coast of Nha Trang in 2006, the group’s second theme park will be sited on the up-and-coming tropical island of Phu Quoc in the Gulf of Thailand.
Vinpearl Land Phu Quoc covers over 170,000 sqm and will feature a waterpark, 5D cinema, aquarium outdoor and indoor games zones, and rollercoaster rides.
The opening date has been set for November 1.
Sitting adjacent to the theme park is the new 750-room Vinpearl Resort Phu Quoc, a Vincharm Spa and the 27-hole Vinpearl Golf Club.
Vingroup’s chief executive officer Duong Thi Mai Hoa said there will be more projects planned in the future following the Vinpearl Land blueprint.
"We aim to put the country firmly on the map as one of the amusement park capitals of Asia," she said.
"To this end we are looking to develop further attractions around the country in the coming years, including some more amusement parks in different parts of the country, backed by more of our smaller family entertainment centre attractions around the country."
