New ‘vote for us’ button launched for this year’s BTAs
Voting has opened for the 2015 British Travel Awards with a new ‘Vote for Us’ buttons which travel firms can use on their emails and websites.
Nominated companies in the 79 categories have until 30th September to lobby consumers for votes. Each will receive a marketing pack with tools.
Overseas votes will also be accepted for the first time this year – previously a UK postcode was required for registration.
BTA chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "The enhanced ‘Vote for Us’ button will really crank lobbying campaigns up a gear, voters won’t have to trawl through the whole voting form to find the company they want to support, possibly giving up half way with the vote lost, the new app will take them straight to the category.
"Nominated companies cannot afford to be complacent, they must get their lobbying campaigns going pronto, encouraging all their past happy customers to vote. In the meantime they can proudly display the nominated for a 2015 BTA logo across all platforms and on printed collateral."
Consumers voted will be entered into a free prize draw to win amazing holiday prizes.
The 2015 BTAs will take place on 25 November at Battersea Evolution.
