New York City now offering runner’s tours

Saturday, 13 Sep, 2006 0

If you think every tour niche possible has been taken, consider a new venture called NYC Run.

It’s just that: guided tours for runners in New York City.

“We take striders to some of the city’s most storied sites, including the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Broadway and Greenwich Village,” said Michael Gazaleh, a veteran runner.

Participants can pick their own pace and distance with a private custom tour or choose from 20 routes that range from a mile jog to a half-marathon training session.

New York City was recently voted the third best running city by Runner’s World magazine.

The price starts at $50. The tour price includes a t-shirt, photos and “recovery drinks.”
