New York tourism launches Black History campaign
New York tourism is showcasing African-American history and culture across the boroughs as part of a new tourism campaign.
Marking Black History Month, a new initiative promotes Black-owned businesses including restaurants and civil rights era history.
The new “I LOVE NY Black travel initiative focuses on historical figures including Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass.
It also highlights food, arts and events.
Hochul said Black travelers represent over 13% of the domestic travel market, contributing about $109 billion each year.
