New Zealand announces new reopening plan
To ease pressure on the hotel quarantine system, New Zealanders will be allowed to isolate at home from later this month. They will need to self-isolate for 10 days. "We do see self-isolation requirements changing over time. We expect there to be a reduction to seven days," PM Jacinta Ardern said.
Visa holders, including international students, will be permitted entry to isolate at home from mid-April, while on-visa holders will likely have to wait to October to enter New Zealand.
