Escorted tour specialist Newmarket Holidays has launched a new tour for New England and Canada leaf peeping on land and sea.

The operator says is the first to discover North America’s fall foliage by sea and shore.

New England & Canada Fall Colours’ Cruise is a 14-day group trip that starts with a city break in Boston, with the option of a tour to discover the city’s most famous landmarks.

Guests then enjoy a full-board cruise along the North American coast on Holland America Line ship, Zuiderdam.

There are four ports of call including Maine, Charlottetown and Québec City and the chance to join guided excursions in each destination.

It finishes with a scenic journey through Canada’s Eastern Townships, and on to New England and New Hampshire’s White Mountains.

Prices start from £3,899 per person and include return flights, five nights’ hotel accommodation, seven nights’ full-board cruise accommodation, flights, transfers and excursions.

It has September and October departures in 2024 and 2025.

Richard Harrington, Long Haul Destination Manager said: “No other escorted tour operator offers this combination of driving through New England and exploring the Canadian Maritimes from the sea.”

“With this unique combination we think this new package will be a big hit with agents.”
