Newmarket Holidays unveils new Japan tour
Escorted tour operator Newmarket Holidays is launching a brand new 16-day tour, Japan Unveiled, following an increase in customer demand.
The tour explores Japan’s modern cities, rich history, culture and landscapes from autumn 2024.
It includes departure dates in spring and autumn, offering holidays during the Japan cherry blossom season and autumn foliage.
The Japan tour begins in Tokyo, with a guided sightseeing tour of city highlights including the neon-lit Shibuya district and a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.
On day five, the tour moves on to Mishima calling in at the hill town of Hakone, home to thermal hot springs and the Hakone Shrine.
The Japan tour moves to Matsumoto with visits along the route to Oshino, renowned for its natural springs, and Lake Kawaguchi at the foothills of Mount Fuji.
Day ten includes a guided tour of imperial capital Kyoto, visiting the Golden Pavilion, the Ryoanji Temple and geisha district, Gion.
The final days of the tour take in the cities of Hiroshima and Osaka.
