Self Help Marketing Guide for International Tourism Goes Online
A new international website devoted to finding the best way for tourism businesses to market themselves more effectively in challenging times has been launched today.
Tourism Marketing Resources is creating an international community of independent businesses, including hotels, bed and breakfasts, villas, activity providers and attractions to boost and grow visitor numbers.
The site is designed to offer managers and owners a host of DIY marketing tools, resources, articles, downloads and discussion forums, with which to grow their businesses. These are particularly key when many businesses are looking at their marketing in the light of a potentially difficult trading environment.
Its co-founders are Angela Best, president of Anahere Inc, Tourism Marketing Solutions USA and with more than 20 years in sales, marketing and advertising, and David Abingdon, an entrepreneur who has taken three companies from zero to million dollar status, each in less than a year, and who is now CEO of the Alchemy Network.
Membership, with the added benefits of free articles, top marketing tips, e-commerce strategies and a comprehensive library, are offered at a low monthly cost, while the Tip of the Week is issued free.
“Tourism Marketing Resources is a great vehicle for supporting tourism businesses and creating a network of resources for them, “ said Angela Best. “ It is also low cost but high value, which is what every business looks for.â€
Trish Abrahamson, CEO of Naturally New Zealand, said: “The site is great and offers a lot for a little. The articles give real value and are pitched just right for the small/medium tourism business market…
“I know that by using only 10% of the content we’ll be able to raise our international profile and I believe see some really good growth.”
