NH Collection checking in to Thailand
NH Collection has unveiled plans for an upcoming debut in Asia.
NH Collection Chiang Mai Ping River will open on the banks of the Mae Ping River in Thailand’s northern city of Chiang Mai in Q1 2023.
The development marks a debut of the NH Collection brand outside of Europe and Latin America, where the chain has 93 hotels.
It occupies two low-rise buildings on the riverbank, and features 79 keys.
The resort will have a swimming pool, a public space housing a restaurant, art space and bar, and a fitness centre.
The resort will be integrated into nature and the riverside landscape.
It follows a signing ceremony between parent Minor Hotels and Osmo Properties Group in Bangkok, just as Thailand eases restrictions for international tourists.
“Every NH Collection experience is based on our promise to connect guests with the city’s soul, so getting the destination right was extremely important for our first NH Collection property in Asia,” said Dillip Rajakarier, Chief Executive Officer, Minor Hotels.
