Nigel David lands top eviivo role
Ex-TUI and Thomas Cook senior director Nigel David has joined travel technology company eviivo as CEO.
The e-commerce company runs an property management system called frontdesk and has signed up more than 1,500 independent hotels, bed and breakfasts and guesthouses in the UK.
It has contracted or integrated with a number of online travel distribution channels including lastminute.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, travelsupermarket.com, Co-op Travel, SideStep, Open Roads, VisitBritain and enjoyEngland.
David said: “eviivo is a superb developing business with a unique and compelling product and proposition targeting the smaller accommodation providers in the UK.
“We have recently successfully launched in India and we have exciting plans to roll out in other destinations in the world.”
Company founder Ian Griffin said: “Major hotel groups and tour operators have become more and more sophisticated in their use of the internet as their principle sales channel.
“We are delighted that Nigel has joined us and look forward to ensuring that his expertise will allow us to provide our partners with the very best advice and products.
“Nigel will further enable eviivo to improve occupancy and yield for our ever growing partner base both in the UK and in our rapidly developing new markets.’’
