On the Beach reports hike in UK revenue
On the Beach has put its increased UK revenue down to investment in marketing, technology and hotel supply.
The OTA issued a trading update for the four months to January 31 saying UK revenue has increased 26% year on year.
Mobile visitors reached a record 67% of traffic, an increase of 31% year on year
It added that the business has been able to respond well to volatility in traffic, as well as stronger demand for holidays in the Western Mediterranean, offsetting a weaker demand for Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean.
On the Beach said its international proposition, www.ebeach.se, which is live in Sweden, is continuing to make progress and it is currently testing the service in Norway.
Ahead of its AGM today, chief executive Simon Cooper, said: "Our strategy of investing in marketing, hotel supply and technology to drive growth has delivered an increase in revenue in line with the Board’s expectations."
