Oops…$2 for a hotel room?
Expedia.com had some prices for Hilton International hotels in Japan as low as $2. It sounded too good to be true, and guess what?
The agency blamed a technical glitch for the temporary problem.
Expedia now says it will honor some of the bookings while other customers will get a $250 coupon for a package trip.
Some customers quoted in Reuters said that was not good enough.
After complaints, Bill Scannell said Expedia was honoring his family trip to Japan for a total price of $46.57. He got a bargain: Expedia said the correct price was $2,079.57.
