Inghams is launching a series of ski roadshows for agents, offering free lessons and training on how to sell its holidays.
The roadshow visits three UK indoor ski slopes in Glasgow, Manchester and Hemel Hempstead where agents can hit the slopes and receive product training from the Tirol Tourist Board, Banff Skithebig3, Winter Park and Swiss Airlines.
Agents will get an hour’s tuition on the “snow”, ski equipment and clothing and lunch. And the day will be rounded up with a quiz.
Ighams business development manager Alison Craig said: “The fantastic facilities at the indoor ski slopes in Glasgow, Manchester and Hemel will give agents who have never skied before the chance to try skiing on ‘real snow’ and also the unique opportunity to learn more about skiing holidays, allowing them to pass their valuable information onto their clients.
“For many agents who have never experienced a ski break themselves, this gives them a taste of the fun that can be had on a ski holiday and at last year’s events we were impressed with just how quickly some of the agents progressed on the slopes – of course there’s the usual falls, but that’s all part of the fun.”
The dates are as follows:
September 28, 10-4pm: Glasgow Braehead Snozone (focus on Canada, Switzerland and Austria)
September 29, 10-4pm: Manchester Chill Factor (Canada, US, Austria and Swiss)
October 1, 1-5pm: Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre (Oetztal and the Tirol, Austria)
To apply for a place, email [email protected] with name, agency and ski ability.
