Orders for Group Travel Directory Print Guide Pour In
When we produced the 2008 Group Travel Directory print guide, the majority of the distribution was to our dedicated subscription list of group travel buyers (over 20,000). They received their copy of the directory in early November, just in time for 2008 group trip planning.
With the launch of our powerful new web platform www.grouptraveldirectory.com, and the massive database of over 6,000 suppliers available for group bookings, we decided to offer a downloadable version of our print guide for those who were looking for the “best of the bestâ€. After all, there are thousands of planners who are visiting this site each month, why not make the print guide available to them if they prefer to consume their media in that form?
We designed a series of text and banners ads to advertise the downloadable version of Group Travel Directory on our GroupUniversity.com site, where we also sell a host of seminars and books on organizing group travel…admittedly somewhat to our surprise the orders have been steaming in! Buyers from as far as China are downloading Group Travel Directory print guide for $5.95 or choosing the print version for $9.95 (U.S. shipping).
What a great endorsement to the validity of advertising via banner and text ads on Grouptraveldirectory.com, as it’s the ONLY vehicle we’re using to promote the downloadable version. Also, a strong testament to buyers eagerness to consumer both print and online media to make educated buying decisions.
