Over 200 positive cases on Indian cruise ship
The final guests have finally disembarked the Cordelia cruise ship after returning to Mumbai from Goa.
Local media revealed a total of 209 people on board were infected, including at least 66 crew.
Authorities spent more than a day offloading infected guests.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said it completed PCR testing on 1,827 people on board the cruise by Tuesday night.
The BMC did not allow any guests testing negative off the ship until all positive cases were taken to quarantine facilities.
A seven-day home quarantine is mandatory for all guests who testednegative, a BMC official said.
The ship was sent back to Mumbai from Goa earlier this week after dozens of infected guests refused to be admitted to a Goa medical facility.
