Ovolo checking in to Bali
Ovolo Group has unveiled details of its first hotel planned for Indonesia.
Mamaka by Ovolo will take shape in Bali beach hotspot Kuta after a renovation, and is slated to open in late 2020.
It is converting the current Citadines Kuta Beach Bali, which Ovolo acquired last year.
It closes this month for a revamp and will have 191 designer rooms and suites.
The hotel forms part of the recently launched ‘Wonder. Full.’ branding By Ovolo Collective, which hopes to showcase unique properties inspired by their destinations.
Mamaka by Ovolo will have the highest rooftop pool club in Bali, an in-house surf school, and a wellness and activity centre with a climbing wall.
"Convention was not considered, this is our take on a resort. It will be a playground for travellers through food and drink with attitude, wellness and activities," said Girish Jhunjhnuwala, founder and CEO of Ovolo Group.
"This urban resort will bring a killer experience to Kuta."
