Oyo Hotels and Homes’ CEO for India and South Asia, Aditya Ghosh is moving upstairs.

He is leaving his role to take a seat in the boardroom.

Ghosh will be replaced by Rohit Kapoor, who is head of Oyo’s real estate  and rentals business Oyo Life.

Ghosh joined Oyo a year ago after a decade at the helm of India’s largest budget carrier IndiGo.

He is ‘the perfect choice for this larger and more strategic role, at a global level. I am certain that this decision will greatly help OYO achieve its goals, globally,’ said Ritesh Agarwal, Oyo founder and Group CEO.

Ghosh had overall responsibility for some 18.000 hotels across more than 500 cities in India and South Asia.
