Oyo names new India and South Asia COO
Oyo Hotels & Homes named Gaurav Ajmera, as chief operating officer, India and South Asia.
In the COO role Ajmera is responsible for driving gains in revenue management, offline sales and overall customer service delivery in the core franchise business.
He has been with Oyo since the early days and served as head of North Region.
Prior to Oyo, he worked at Schlumberger holding positions in several countries.
He reports to Aditya Ghosh, CEO, India & South Asia.
"Gaurav has been with OYO since its initial days and understands the brand ground-up. His experience along with his customer-first and innovation-driven approach make him an excellent choice. His appointment further strengthens OYO’s South Asia leadership that is dedicated towards building the most preferred hospitality brand," Ghosh said.
Established in 2013, the Oyo group portfolio now spans 23,000 hotels and 46,000 vacation homes.
It has a presence in the US, Europe, UK, India, Malaysia, Middle East, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan and a China based unit.
