PA tour bus crash kills three
A tour bus filled with Italian tourists collided with a trailer in Pennsylvania, killing three and injuring more than a dozen.
The head-on crash happened on Interstate 380 in the Pocono Mountain region as the bus headed to Niagara Falls, about 75 miles north west of New York City.
The bus driver was confirmed as one of the dead, while four people are in a critical condition, authorities said.
State police believe a truck heading south on Interstate 380 crossed over into the northbound lane.
The bus was on charter to Italian tour operator Viaggidea by owner Academy Bus, which confirmed 14 passengers, a tour guide and a driver were on board.
The tour group had just commenced a 8-day tour after sightseeing in New York City.
After a stop at Niagara Falls, the bus was due to visit Toronto, Washington and Philadelphia before returning to NYC.
