A female passenger has been kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight after poking a fellow pasenger with a pen, apparently irked by his snoring.

The incident happened as Flight 577 was on the runway at Chicago’s Midway International Airport ready to take off for Manchester, NH.

"A passenger was removed from the flight for poking her seatmate with a pen to stop him from snoring," Southwest said in a statement.

The victim, Lenny Mordarski, says he suddenly awoke in pain after being stabbed by a pen several times.

"Imagine being asleep and then being stung by bees and waking up and going, ‘Ow,’" Mordarski told the media after touching down two hours late in Manchester.

Mordaski’s friend Michael Sutton said he heard no snoring and the woman completely overeacted.

"I guess his arm kind of brushed over to her and she just went nuts and started stabbing with her pen," Sutton said.

"Everyone on the plane was happy afterward. They were glad to get rid of her."

Both men praised Southwest flight crew for the way they handled he situation.
