Passenger threatens to blow up BA flight to Dubai
Five British Airways crew were forced to restrain a passenger after he went berserk onboard a flight to Dubai, claiming he had a bomb and he was going to blow it up.
The drama kicked off five hours into the flight, when the passenger allegedly started yelling that everyone was going to die.
Radio DJ Steve Penk tweeted that his daughter was onboard the flight, which left Heathrow at 8.30pm on Tuesday night.
He said it took five crew and another passenger to constrain the man, who was eventually handcuffed and covered with a blanket.
The flight later landed safely in Dubai, where the man was handed over to police authorities.
A BA spokesperson told The Standard newspaper: "Our customers and crews deserve to enjoy their flights, and not to suffer any form of abuse.
"This sort of behaviour will absolutely not be tolerated, and the appropriate action will always be taken."
