Passengers injured when Jet Airways plane veers off runway
An investigation is underway after 15 passengers were injured when a Jet Airways Boeing 737 aircraft veered off the runway at Goa Airport.
Flight 9W 2374, bound for Mumbai, had 154 passengers and seven crew on board when it was aligning for take-off on Tuesday.
The airline blamed a technical problem but did not give further detail.
It said three passengers are still being treated in hospital and will be discharged once they have been medically cleared.
The Aviation Herald said the aircraft spun nearly 360 degrees, going over soft ground and across a road before coming to a stop with its nose gear collapsed and both engines making ground contact.
