Perfect weather in Noosa

Thursday, 28 Aug, 2007 0

After record heavy rains, Noosa’s temperature is expected to peak at 23C today – a perfect day for enjoying the sunshine on Main Beach or around the pool at the Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa where, unlike low-lying areas on the outskirts of the town, has been totally unaffected by recent rain.

Check www.coastalwatch.com for sunny images.

Noosa’s only five star hotel, Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa in Noosa Heads has not experienced any damage or operational restrictions from last weeks rain which saw heavy falls on the Sunshine Coast including some minor flooding of the Noosa River in the Noosaville area.

Today, the Sheraton Jetty, the boarding location for the popular Noosa Ferry is welcoming passengers set to enjoy the pristine waters of the surrounding voluminous waterways.

With its bevy of fine restaurants, smart art galleries, savvy boutiques, beautiful beaches, and so much more, there’s something for everyone in Noosa – naturally!

In fact, the recent rain will be the catalyst for an abundance of life and colour bursting into the Noosa National Park and surrounding areas just in time for spring, providing a bonus for visitors to the resort in the days and weeks ahead.

Jazz aficionados are also in for a treat as the Noosa Jazz Festival which starts this Thursday, 30 August 2007. One of the headline acts is Australia’s answer to Aretha Franklin, the smoky-voiced seductress Renee Geyer. Renee stars in an exclusive Sheraton dinner/show on Saturday 1 September, 2007 and her appeal is proven as the event is 100% Sold Out.

A enticement to stay at the Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa at another time is a selection of sensational packages now available on the resort’s online located at www.sheraton.com/noosa including the popular “Reconnect in Noosa”package with overnight accommodation and complimentary breakfast at the award-winning Cato’s Restaurant from just $290* per day. Weekends rates are also available online.
