Natasha Richardson has been appointed head of sales operations for P&O Cruises and Cunard.

Richardson, who was previously Carnival UK senior sales support manager, will take up her role immediately and report to VP sales, Alex White.

Richardson will be joined by two new recruits who have yet to be appointed to form the sales leadership team under White.

"Natasha has played a vital role in the sales team over the past 13 years and I am delighted to promote her to this new position," said White.

"In addition, listening to feedback from both our agent partners and our internal teams, I believe that unique opportunities and challenges exist within our retail and national partners.

"In acknowledgment of the need for a tailored approach and to ensure we have robust strategies in place to deliver our goals through both channels, we will be appointing a head of retail partnerships.

"This position will have responsibility for our retail partners to ensure they receive tailored attention and communication. The regional sales team will report into this new role, whilst they continue to support our full portfolio of partners.

"I will also be recruiting a head of national partnerships with responsibility for our national agent partners such as OTAs, call centres, cruise specialists and tour operators.

"As we begin our crucial Wave period and look ahead to the New Year and the challenges, launches and special projects we have lined up for both P&O Cruises and Cunard, developing and sustaining strong relationships with agents has never been more critical. These new roles will bring with them unprecedented levels of agent support."
