P&O Cruises Updates Agents on Pacific Sun
More than 200 top-performing cruise agents enjoyed a three-day voyage from Sydney on Pacific Sun last weekend (August 4-7) as they learnt about P&O Cruises Australia’s plans for the future.
The Partnership Summit 2006 provided an opportunity to update agents from Australia and New Zealand on changes to P&O Cruises’ fleet, including the debut of Pacific Dawn in October 2007 and Sun Princess’ deployment to Australia over the 2007-08 summer.
Also on the agenda were the development of new itineraries, like Pacific Star’s 2007-08 Auckland summer season and its March 2008 Cherry Blossom cruise to Japan and China, as well as the introduction of new destinations.
The two-day Summit included agent workshops to discuss key issues such as the Polar Online reservations system and group bookings.
P&O Cruises Vice President Sales John Molinaro said the Summit provided a great opportunity for the cruise line to outline upcoming developments, and receive vital feedback from agents.
“Next year’s arrival of Australia’s first superliner, Pacific Dawn, coincides with P&O Cruises 75th anniversary of cruising from Australia and marks a new era of opportunity for agents selling cruises,” Mr Molinaro said.
“We have some very exciting times ahead and it was great to be able to share these with agents during our Summit.”
