P&O Ferries to resume Dover-Calais route
P&O Ferries is set to restart services on the Dover-Calais route this week. It will be the first services since backlash over the abrupt sacking of nearly 800 workers. The Spirit of Britain was cleared to sail again by UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
However passenger sailings are expected to restart early next week with freight-only services this week. Tickets were being sold for sailings on the Spirit of Britain from this Wednesday but the company confirmed this was a website error.
P&O Ferries is offering passenger tickets from £34.50, which is significantly lower than rival DFDS.
