Port Canaveral Welcomes MSC Seaside
Port Canaveral has welcomed its newest homeported ship, MSC Seaside.
It has begun sailing three and four-night cruises to The Bahamas, plus seven-night sailings to Cozumel, Costa Maya and Belize.
All sailings include stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
“MSC Seaside is yet another beautiful ship in the MSC line up to call Port Canaveral home,” said Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral CEO.
“We are proud of our relationship with MSC Cruises, and delighted to be the homeport.”
MSC Cruises began year-round service from Port Canaveral in 2021 with the inaugural arrival of the MSC Divina.
MSC Cruises then added the MSC Meraviglia to the Port Canaveral rotation for US sailings.
It returns to Port Canaveral weekly for provisioning calls departing from New York.
“We built MSC Seaside specifically for Caribbean cruises, with an incredible amount of outdoor space,” said Rubén A. Rodríguez, President, MSC Cruises USA.
Seaside has nine restaurants and 19 bars and lounges.
Entertainment options include the Metropolitan Theater, Forest Aquaventure Park, two full-sized bowling alleys, and various clubs for kids.
It has capacity for approximately 4,000 passengers at double-occupancy.
