Tourism is Tropical North Queensland’s largest industry worth almost $2.5 billion to the region’s economy each year. The destination welcomes over 2 million visitors annually and is second only to Sydney for attracting Australia’s international holiday visitors.
TTNQ is seeking a suitably qualified marketing professional to fill the role of Director of Sales & Marketing – Leisure, based in Cairns.
This position provides a unique opportunity to highlight your marketing, management and organisation skills on the Domestic and International tourism marketing stages. The position suits those that can balance their sense of creativity with strong analytical skills to measure the success of campaigns while effectively managing staff, finances and resources.
With the responsibility of providing leadership and knowledge to TTNQ and the industry, the successful candidate should possess tertiary qualifications in marketing or comparable experience with strong experience in the domestic and international travel industry.
You will have an intimate knowledge of the domestic and international tourism trade; tourism industry framework; distribution channels; experience in marketing, promotional and media campaigns; and the ability to deliver the organisation’s creative and innovative marketing plans.
This challenging position requires the development and management of strategic partnerships and leveraging of resources for the benefit of both TTNQ and the TNQ tourism industry.
With your positive attitude you will lead and inspire a dynamic team of professionals specializing in key domestic and international tourism markets.
