Projected $93 million travel award

Sunday, 27 Jul, 2004 0

The US Department of Agriculture named EDS to provide employee travel services under the General Services Administrations eTravel Service indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract vehicle.

The USDA is the largest government agency to make an eTravel award to date. In addition, the contract is the first for EDS’s FedTraveler.com.

The 10-year, fixed-unit-price contract could be worth $93 million if all options are completed.

FedTravelers.com is an end-to-end travel service solution designed and built from the ground up by EDS. It includes planning and authorizing travel, reservation and fulfillment services, approving vouchers, and providing robust reporting and auditing capabilities.

FedTravelers.com will leverage EDR’s best practices in commercial and government travel, according to the company. The service, which is expected to significantly improve USDA’s ability to manage their travel, will be implemented over the next 18 months.
