Protected Trust Services launch ‘TravelWithTrust’ campaign
Protected Trust Services has introduced a new consumer financial protection campaign to raise awareness about trust protection in travel.
It is encouraging consumers to #TravelWithTrust.
It comes at a time, due to 18 months of uncertainty and stop-start restrictions that the industry needs to rebuild consumer trust in travel.
During this time, Protected Trust Services has seen more and more travel companies moving to the PTS independent trust account solution.
The campaign was created to help bring awareness to consumers and businesses alike and help holidaymakers travel with trust and peace of mind o their next trip.
#TravelWithTrust means consumers are booking with a trusted travel agent or tour operator that operates under an independent trust account system like Protected Trust Services.
Though travel businesses and consumers alike are becoming more aware of trust accounts, the campaign helps to dispel misconceptions and highlights how they are protected in several different ways:
- Your money will only be used to fund your holiday
- Your PTS member doesn’t have direct access to your money
- Your money is separated from all other bookings
- That money will remain in trust unless: You require a refund or reimbursement, it is protected by Supplier Failure Insurance (SFI) or, your travel agent has paid an ATOL protected wholesaler
Daniel Landen, Managing Director of Protected Trust Services (PTS) said: "We have had incredible feedback from our members and their clients about PTS financial protection. Fundamentally, consumers simply want to be able to trace their monies and to be able to 100% know their monies are safe."
Due to the PTS trust account being reconciled every day, down to individual payments, consumers can be assured of complete financial track and trace."
