Qantas agrees full takeover of Alliance Aviation
Qantas has reached a deal to buy Alliance Aviation Services outright. Qantas bought a nearly 20% stake in Alliance three years ago. The deal is worth about AUD614 million.
Alliance Aviation Services is Australia’s major fly-in, fly-out charter operator with a fleet of 70 small aircraft. Most of its routes serve mine sites along with some general passenger routes. The deal is subject to scrutiny from anti-trust regulator the ACCC.
