Quay Events by Marriott
Following on from last year’s successful launch of QUAY EVENTS by Marriott, the Sydney Harbour Marriott is delighted to announce the addition of a new partner to the program.
Opera Point Events, the exclusive event caterers for five unique venues within the Sydney Opera House, one of the world’s most recognised icons adds great kudos to the program, lifting the profile both domestically and internationally.
Opera Point Events were appointed as the new caterers and event management team for the Sydney Opera House in early 2007. They manage the Utzon Room, Concert Hall Northern Foyer, Opera Theatre Northern Foyer, Opera Point Marquee and the Southern Forecourt.
“Access to these areas opens Quay Events to an even wider audience, it takes us into the international stage and benefits all partners in the program,” Sydney Harbour Marriott Director of Marketing Grant Gray said.
“We are excited about the opportunity to partner with such a fantastic concept as well as an established global brand in five-star hotels,” Opera Point Events Sales and Marketing Manager Megan Vaughan said.
Additionally, Captain Cook Cruises have now officially joined as partners offering a variety of cruising vessels for up to 300 people.
Captain Cook Cruises heighten and add to the excitement of the total event by transporting guests around the harbour from venue to venue in a seamless fashion.
Quay Events by Marriott creates an even greater range of alternatives and options. In the international group incentive market, we now have a unique product to present to the world, encompassing all that is Sydney and its renowned harbour.
With Sydney Harbour Marriott partnering the MCA, Crystal Palace, Captain Cook Cruises and now Opera Point Events, Quay Events becomes a ‘one stop shop’. It allows flexibility in providing meeting planners, conference bookers and social event organisers a selection of venues when booking accommodation at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel.
The benefit for meeting and event organisers is the Quay Events by Marriott one point of contact co-ordinator who pulls all elements of the event together from the initial enquiry, to transfers between venues and right down to the final contract, covering every step of the way.
