Rapper forgets ID, uses magazine cover to get through airport screening
What to do when lining up at airport security and you realize your ID is nowhere to be found?
Eazy – if you happen to be a well-known rapper. Just simply grab a magazine out of your carry-on bag that just happens to feature you on the cover.
That was the predicament G-Eazy found himself in during a recent flight.
When he realized he misplaced his ID, G-Eazy, real name Gerald Earl Gillum, got out the latest issue of XXL magazine with his face on the cover, and hoped for the best.
The TSA agent must have been a fan, as his creative solution worked and he was let him through.
He was traveling with girlfriend, singer Halsey, who tweeted: "Gerald lost his ID and he’s trying to use the cover of @XXL as part of his additional identification to get through airport security. I’m so annoyed."
"It worked," the rapper replied, who has more than three million followers on Twitter.
