Rather be in Philadelphia?
US airline flight delays are up again. So in what major airports are flyers most likely to be delayed?
Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Atlanta in October had the worst on-time departure performances among 31 major airports, according to the federal Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
Las Vegas and Philadelphia were nearly tied at 24% for most delays. Atlanta lagged only slightly behind at almost 22%.
Best on-time departures?
Houston, Bush, Tampa and Denver had 10% or less delays in all October flights.
For the entire year, however, Chicago O’Hare had the worst performance with more than 27% of its flights delayed.
Delays were up overall in October over the previous two months, said the US Department of Transportation.
Nineteen carriers reporting on-time performance recorded an overall ontime arrival rate of 81% in October, down from 83.9% the preceding month.
