Record-breaking half year at Amadeus’s Planitgo

Sunday, 30 Aug, 2005 0

Amadeus e-Travel reported record-breaking revenues and passenger bookings through e-Travel Planitgo.

Company officials called Planitgo “the most widely adopted e-commerce self-service solution in the first half of 2005.”

E-commerce passenger bookings on the site increased by 67% over the same time last year.

Amadeus said this represented an online booking value of more than 2 billion Euros.

The key growth factor was the accelerated adoption of self-service through the Web sites of existing and new Amadeus e-Travel airline customers.

Another key growth factor is the reliability of e-Travel on demand.

In the first half of 2005, the reliability of Adadeus e-Travel Planitgo servers for the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific exceeded 99.9%, according to the company.

“Our significant investments to deliver reliable, flexible, innovative and customizable on-demand e-commerce solutions are paying off,” said Jerone Destors, Amadeus e-Travel Commercial Director.
