Record-setting CLIA programs improve agent sales by 261%
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is on schedule for 65,000 training events in 2007, a 38% increase over last year.
The move also sets a record in programs to earn CLIA certification credits.
Travel agents who have earned their Cruise Counsellor Certification have reported an increase in annual sales productivity of 261%, according to CLIA.
CLIA training includes classroom training, online courses, video courses, CLIA textbook, conference seminars, TrainingFest and Seminars at Sea.
“We are extremely happy with the strong demand for our training programs this year,” said Terry L. Dale, CLIA president and CEO.
TrainingFest is a regional series of two-day classroom training programs that toured 11 cities in the US and Canada this summer.
