Right, says Fred: time to expand
Newly-launched operator Fred./ is planning a new product range for later this year.
The company, which is the operating arm of Fred Olsen Travel, launched to the trade in April, offering city break and tailor-made holidays to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and central Europe, as well as beer festivals and river cruises.
The team now includes five members of staff and its own office, based in Felixstowe and the operator has been well-received by agents, according to UK sales manager Lawrence Peachey.
He said: "We’ve been getting lots of positive feedback for our team and we¹re delighted that agents are behind what we have to offer them.
"It seems that there very much is demand for holidays to Germany and beyond and agents also like the fact that we do not discount direct bookings."
Steve Williams, managing director of Fred Olsen Travel, added: "We¹re glad that the new brand has been accepted into the trade and is doing what we set it out to do – to fill the gap left when Dertour left the UK market at the end of last year.
"However, we have much more to offer and will be building on the new brand with the introduction of new product towards the end of the year, so watch this space."
