Ritz targets “family” luxury travel

The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek, Colorado, has created luxury hotel accommodations with families specifically in mind.

This winter the resort introduced the Residential Suite, a new suite accommodation for families, individuals and couples featuring full state-of-the-art kitchens with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, dishes and glassware.

“We have seen a dramatic increase in family travel over the last few years,” said general manager Tom Donovan. He added:
“Our guests are looking for multiple bedrooms, a living room and most importantly a kitchen, but still wanting Ritz-Carlton services and amenities.”

The new accommodations have full-sized kitchens built into the living room area of the one- or two-bedroom Residential Suite. Kitchens are equipped with a full-size refrigerator, double sinks, dishwasher, disposal, stove, oven and microwave ovens.  Each Residential Suite is also fully furnished with cookware, glassware, dishes and silverware. Prior to arrival, the resort’s guest relations team will contact the guest and offer to stock the refrigerator with groceries prior to arrival.

Rates for The Residential Suites start from $1,150 to $3,840 in winter and from $700 to $1,175 in summer.  All rates are per room and per night.    The property is an AAA Five Diamond year-round destination resort. It has a 21,000 square foot spa with 19 treatment rooms. Wolfgang Puck is opening his Spago Bachelor Gulch there this year.
