Rome airport closure
One of Rome’s international airports will close on Friday for 15 days for runway repairs.
The Foreign Office advising passengers due to fly to Ciampino airport to contact their airlines or tour operators about flights.
Ryanair has cancelled some flights to Rome, including one of its daily services to and from Stansted, and shifted others to Rome’s other international airport, Fiumicino. Some flights to and from Edinburgh, East Midlands, Manchester, Prestwick and Stansted will operate from Fiumicino.
A free shuttle bus will operate between the two Rome airports every two hours.
