Royal Caribbean orders new ship
Royal Caribbean Cruises has ordered a fifth Quantum-class ship for delivery in autumn 2020.
It will be built by Meyer Werft in Germany.
"It is such a pleasure to announce the order of another Quantum-class ship as we are welcoming Anthem of the Seas to North America," said chairman and CEO Richard D. Fain.
"These ships have been received with excitement, and performed exceptionally well, across the globe. We fully expect that momentum to continue as we add to this innovative class of ships."
Based on current ship orders, Royal Caribbean’s capacity will increase by 5.4% this year, 6.4% in 2016 , 3.4% in 2017, 3.7% in 2018 and 6.6% in 2019.
