Royal Caribbean partners with Family Holiday Association
Royal Caribbean UK & Ireland has been chosen as one of the official charity partners for the Family Holiday Association’s ‘Go the extra mile to make eyes smile’ campaign.
The cruise line will be organising fundraising activities and events for staff to participate in.
"We help families in desperate need of respite: families knocked sideways by the toughest of circumstances,” said Angie Watson, the FHA’s head of fundraising.
“Evidence shows that a short, simple break in a caravan at the British seaside or day trip can really make a difference and help a family cope with whatever the future throws at them.
“We are thrilled that this new partnership with Royal Caribbean will help many, many more families for whom a holiday is a lifeline – giving them relief from daily struggles, a chance to smile together and create precious memories to last them a lifetime. What a gift to give!"
A Royal Caribbean charity committee is already busy organising a series of fundraising events leading up to Christmas.
