Ruby the Roo says ‘hop over to Australia’
Tourism Australia has unveiled its latest weapon to lure tourists down under – Ruby the Roo.
Ruby was introduced as part of Tourism Australia’s new “Come and Say G’Day” campaign targeting main international markets.
Ruby was created as the kangaroo is ‘instantly recognisable ‘as an Australian symbol, says John O’Sullivan, former MD of Tourism Australia.
Trade Minister Don Farrell launched the new campaign in Japan.
“We want to get international tourists coming back to Australia. We want them to come and say G’day,” Farrell said.
