Russian airline joins oneworld
Russian domestic carrier S7 Airlines, which flies to 90 destinations in 28 countries, has joined oneworld, almost tripling the number of cities served by the alliance in Russia, the CIS and other parts of eastern Europe.
It expands oneworld’s global coverage to more than 750 destinations in almost 150 countries, carrying 300m passengers a year.
When oneworld member designates airberlin, Europe’s fifth largest airline, and Indian carrier Kingfisher Airlines, join in the coming 18 months, that will grow further to 900 destinations operated by 14 airlines and 20 affiliates, carrying 340 million passengers a year.
