Russian jet aborts take-off due to aircraft engine fire
A plane departing Phuket had to abruptly abort take-off due to an aircraft engine fire
The Azur Air plane suffered tyre blowouts as it screeched to a halt;
It was departing for Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
All passengers and crew safely disembarked.
The incident was caught on video.
The 321 passengers were put up in hotels.
Alexander Neradko, chief of Russia’sAviation Agency, insisted it was not a result of global sanctions.
Sanctions have impacted the supply of spare aircraft parts into Russia.
