Russian tourism to Thailand plummets
Tourist traffic from Russia to Thailand is fast declining as international sanctions bite. Thailand’s Tourism and Sports Ministry data shows Russia slipped from the top source market throughout February to number in the first few days of March.
Over 17,000 Russian travellers arrived last month. It is now less than half the number of travellers from Germany and the UK so far this month. The lack of flights and financial woes are taking its toll.
