Ryan leaves First Choice
First Choice has slimmed-down and restructured its UK and Ireland management team, including making Mike Ryan (pictured right) redundant.

The Customer Relations Department has been reorganised, with marketing director, Sam Turnbull having his job extended to look after Customer Relations Management and Brochure Publishing.
Customer Relationship Director, Glenda Lamont has decided to leave the company at the end of the year, and TUI UK’s Claire Wilson is stepping in as Head of Customer Relationship Management, reporting to Sam Turnbull. Claire was head of New Revenue Generation for ancillary products at TUI UK, and joins First Choice in January.
First Choice Holidays and Independent Travel Division has also been reorganised, following the departure of the managing director of First Choice Independent Travel Division, Nigel Jenkins. He moved to Canada to oversee First Choice operations, and his position has not been filled.
Instead the independents have been reshuffled and some managers have been given more repsonsibility. Overseas Purchasing Director, Mike Price will now also manage Steve Barker’s Overseas Operations team.
Tim Williamson has been promoted to Product Director, heading the team in charge of Mainstream Summer and Winter Sun. Finally, Suncars managing director, Kyle Haughton will have his job broadened to look after Charter and Schedule Flights.
In a statement, First Choice said: “The specialist businesses remained the key to First Choice’s strategic growth plans”.
