Ryanair charges passengers to reserve standard seats
Ryanair is to allow passengers to reserve seats on two additional rows from today for an additional charge of £10 to £15 each way.
Since January, passengers have been able to reserve seats in four rows, two at the front of the aircraft that allow a faster getaway on arrival, and two over the wings that offer extra legroom.
From today, passengers will also be able to reserve seats in rows 5 and 15, but neither row offers additional legroom. Row 5 and part of row 2 are the only ones that can be reserved by families with children under 16 as they are not beside emergency exits.
The additional fee also covers priority boarding, although Ryanair will continue to offer this separately for £5 each way.
