Sabre appoints Roshan Mendis as Travel Network chief commercial officer
Sabre Corp has appointed Roshan Mendis as chief commercial officer of its Travel Network business.
Mendis is elevated from current position of SVP of Travel Network for the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions where he presided over 9.8% and 7.9% bookings growth in in 2017 in the two regions respectively.
As CCP, Sri Lankan national Mendis will have responsibility for leading global sales, sales operations and business development globally, as itrolls out next-gen retailing and distribution intiatives.
In all, he has 20 years’ experience in the travel tech industry.
"Roshan has the vision, customer commitment and industry expertise to ensure that Sabre is ready to meet its customers’ needs today and well into the future," said Wade Jones, president of Sabre Travel Network.
"We conducted an exhaustive, global search and I’m not surprised that we found the very best leader and candidate from within Sabre."
