Sabre brings GDS connectivity to Mongolia
Global travel tech provider Sabre has expanded to Mongolia with a new distribution agreement.
Sabre has tapped Aviation Services Mongolia (ASM) to distribute the Sabre GDS in Mongolia, which has in turn successfully converted Air Market – Mongolia’s largest travel agency – to the Sabre GDS.
That gives Air Market full access to about 750,000 hotels, 400 airlines, plus car rental, rail and cruise providers via the Sabre travel marketplace.
"This new partnership makes Sabre the leading GDS in Mongolia and continues to cement our position as the leading travel technology partner in Asia Pacific. We are very proud of our partnership with ASM and look forward to growing even further in the region," said Todd Arthur, vice president of Sabre Travel Network, Asia Pacific.
"Our technology will enable Air Market to support the growth and diverse options that travellers expect."
Aviation Services Mongolia (ASM) is the first and only independent company in Mongolia providing General Sales Agency (GSA) dedicated services for airlines and travel suppliers.
"We are excited to partner with Sabre and are confident that this partnership will allow for greater ease of travel into and out of Mongolia. We believe that there is further room for growth and look forward to broadening the tourism industry in Mongolia," said Margad Byambajav, founder and CEO of ASM.
