Agents using the Sabre GDS are to have access to more than 200,000 hotels via online aggregator hotel.de.
An XML connection will provide Sabre agents and corporations with real-time access to hotel’s.de’s 210,000 properties.
The multi-year deal will give the German online company the ability to make us of Sabre XML Shop and Book across multiple distribution points, further expanding its reach to travel agencies and travellers.
It als0 includes Sabre Travel Network’s online travel procurement solution GetThere.
The Sabre GDS offers content from hotels in 240 countries and will see that number grow through the agreement with hotel.de. Sabre also has XML connectivity agreements with Boscolo and Go Global.
EMEA senior vice-president Martin Cowley said: “This is an important milestone in our strategy to continuously broaden and enhance our hotel solutions across Europe, and deliver on our promise to provide agents what they want most: the ability to easily and efficiently book and manage all their travel through the Sabre GDS.”
